You can use automated tools to find your product key if you lost or never received it.

Time limits not enforced

Customers sometimes complain that TimesUpKidz does not enforce time limits. First, make sure you read and follow the security tips. This is especially important with older kids who might be motivated to find a way to bypass the software. Tech-savvy kids can't defeat the software if you follow the guidelines.

There is an intermittent bug in Microsoft Windows that causes TimesUpKidz to not start when the computer is rebooted. Restarting the computer often fixes it. But if not follow these steps to increase the timeout duration.

Finally, you can uninstall and reinstall (see below) to ensure everything is up to date.

Install, reinstall, and uninstall

The software has not been updated since 2011 so you probably have the latest version. It works on Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10.

To install it again follow these steps:

  1. Restart the computer to ensure no one is logged on except for you.
  2. Uninstall any existing copies of the software. On Windows 10, Type TimesUpKidz in the Windows 10 search box, right-click on TimesUpKidz in the search results, and choose Uninstall. For other versions of Windows go to the Add/Remove Programs section of the Windows Control Panel, click on TimesUpKidz, and use the Uninstall option. All your settings will be preserved.
  3. Make sure Windows Update is turned on and you have the latest Microsoft operating system updates. Then reboot the computer.
  4. Install the free trial software again from here. The free trial software is exactly the same as the purchased version. If you had previously typed in your product key, you won't need to do that again.

Feature ideas

Customers have had plenty of good ideas for new features, like remote control, setting limits on a per-application basis, custom audio reminders, and setting time limits on devices like smartphones and tablets. I don't plan to add any new features to the software. Sorry!
